Projects and Inspiration

Schedule 2022

From June 2022 we're theming the Crafty Coffee sessions. Members will have the opportunity to try out crafts / practise existing skills:

​

June   - Card Design

July    - Card Making

August - Wool-craft - fleece preparation, spinning, weaving

September - Making devore velvet

October - Poppies to make a display for Grayswood village

November - Glass painting

December - Pom-poms to add to the Grayswood Village tree

Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Post Box Toppers

One of our members made two post box toppers to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee; The crown in Haslemere and the Queen Tea Cosy in Grayswood.

​

The Queen Tea Cosy was subsequently raffled for charity.

Christmas Pom Pom Tree 2020 & 2021

For Christmas we decorated a tree in the village with pom poms.

​

We added additional pom-poms to the tree in 2021 and even added lights for 2021

#Showthelove Campaign

Members felted, crocheted and knitted green hearts to support this campaign which was displayed in Grayswood village.

​

One of our members has sheep and kindly donated their fleeces which we processed and dyed to use for the majority of the felted hearts.

​

One of our members used her newly-rekindled knitting skills and story-telling abilities to make a knitted telephone kiosk and accompanying story for her grandson with a lovely environmental message included.

Centenary Yarn Bomb
- 13 September 2020

We wanted to celebrate our centenary with Grayswood village so decided to yarn bomb a tree stump with flowers, bugs and bees.

 

This has now been donated to our local Forest School.
